Geolocation Games Performance in Egypt: Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, the performance of top geolocation games in Egypt revealed some interesting trends. Using data from Sensor Tower, we explore weekly downloads, revenue, and active user metrics across a unified platform.

Pokémon GO by Niantic, Inc. showed a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting from around 552K at the beginning of January and peaking at approximately 1.7M by late February. Revenue for the app also spiked significantly, reaching $983 in the week ending February 24. Active users experienced a decline early in the quarter, dropping from 13.3K to 8.7K by early February, before gradually recovering to around 9.3K by the end of March.

Ocean Odyssey: Hidden Treasure from NAMIGAME saw fluctuations in weekly downloads, with a high of 966K in early February and a dip to 14K mid-month, before rebounding to 1.2M at the end of March. However, there was no revenue reported throughout the quarter.

Jurassic World Alive by Ludia Inc. maintained consistent download numbers, hovering around 300K weekly. Revenue peaked at $80 in early January and showed slight variations, closing the quarter at $27. Active users remained relatively stable, with slight fluctuations around 2K throughout the quarter.

Stepbots Sandbox Playground 2 from PSV Apps&Games exhibited a dramatic increase in active users in mid-February, jumping from 910 to 1.5K. Downloads reached their peak at 691K in late February, although no revenue was generated during the period.

Finally, Criminal Russian - Lada 2107 by SBlazer had modest download figures, with a gradual increase to 85K by the end of March. Active users also grew steadily, from 13 to 300 over the quarter, despite no revenue being recorded.
